I spend far too much time reading blogs. I’m sure you all agree it’s a shameful, compulsive disorder. So I’m cutting down. I’m going on a dr...

By the way, if you do this for your own blog, take out the last bit of html. Otherwise, you'll end up with a nasty ad for cash loans.
Listened to an American called John Breen yesterday on bbc:
American computer programmer John Breen has come up with a website that is making a difference in reducing hunger around the world. Freerice.com is an online game where for every word correctly guessed, 10 grains of rice are donated to the World Food Programme. The total so far stands at over 2 billion! Find out more at www.freerice.com
What a genius!
Doh... back to elementary school for me! I am leaving now to go peruse freerice and be both beneficiary and philanthropist. That is when I can actually leave my comment. Genius!... I have forgotten my Google login and password AGAIN.

Anyway, with my blog rating it's probably better to remain anonyme.
There's was an exchange of e-mails recently on a professional listserv I subscribe to about the free rice website. Some say it's just big business cashing in (the site apparently makes money through advertising) and that in any case problems of hunger are not due to a lack of rice. Others say it can't do any harm.
A suivre!
so far I haven't checked out the advertisers at the bottom of the page, have been too busy feeling pleased with myself whenever I see
Correct what better way of feeding the world's poor, feeling pleased with oneself ...
however now a bit of guilt thrown in, all those greedy big business crooks are making money at the same time ...
and I suppose in the end it will all go the way of the hoolah hoop, the yo-yo and the twist ... burn itself out!
Where do you go from here?
(what happened to that site the million pound thingummy) by the way
Deborah: Yes, I wonder what he did with the million.
I've googled it and found his name, Alex Tew ... he has found another wheeze called pixelotto but haven't read on to see how he has spent the money!
I've yet to see a blog whose readoing level isn't genius...
