Weekend en Périgord

Back from a great weekend at the Hameau du Sentier des Sources in Sarlat. Good friends, good food, good wine, a little sun, a happy band of children and a clutch of photos to remind us of it all. (Oh, and gariguette strawberries from the market this early in the season to boot.)

Oh, such gorgeous photos. I was in Perigord once for a day or two, just enough to see the Font de Gaume cave. I've always thought I'd love to get back and spend more time.

The Perigord is so beautiful, we spent 1 month there about 4 years ago and had a wonderful time biking and relaxing stayed just north of Riberac. Sorry we missed you this weekend.

Lovely photos.
Reminds me of many happy holidays spent near Sarlat when les enfants were wee.

I like that roof top right and the chimneys bottom left!
There is something so comforting about ancient workmanship, as usual it is the word harmony that springs to mind.

Gorgeous. I love the Perigord; we went there just after we were married (sorry, don't really like the word 'honeymoon'...) and a lovely waitress in La Roque Gageac approached Tom and told him she just had to say how beautiful his jacket was. He's never forgotten.

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
