Reasons to be Cheerful: Part 44

Big sun in the sky, a side of smoked salmon in the fridge, listening to Jack Johnson, 12 creme eggs (make that 11, no 10), a sparkly turquoise necklace, happy smiley students, cheque in the post, Kenzo perfume, a pile of new books, children being children, me being a muse, birthday cards on the shelf, Easter holidays on the horizon, an early night.

With apologies to Ian Dury and there was just no way I could make it rhyme.

Hey, Happy Birthday! And I just read Neil's blog -- most amusing ;-) Tucking into creme eggs and enjoying a pile of new books in a haze of kenzo and a string of turquoise sounds delightful. On the subject of "creme eggs" -- a 70's hanger-on (Cadbury Creme Egg was introduced by Cadbury brothers in the early 1920's and was first available in 1923, but the Creme Egg as we know it today was not made until 1971.) -- did you know that marmite is being relaunched in a squeezy bottle? Who'd have thunk it. Again, have a very Happy Birthday.

There is definitely something happy and 'springy' in the air :)

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
