Dregs of Summer



These were taken the weekend before last at our favourite beach on the lake at Sanguinet. It was still very very hot. The sort of hot that is uncomfortable and makes you sweatily grumpy. Since then, autumn, redolent of fresh starts, has crept into the morning air.

Looks beautiful. Funny to think of the end of summer and cooler autumn mornings. I do miss France :-)

Ah! I remember these colours . . . they've been replaced by greys and dark greens here as fall well and truly settles in . . .

Sarah: And we miss you! But don't worry, I'll put up some photographs of October rain in a few weeks' time and then you'll feel glad you're not in France!

Materfamilias: The leaves are beginning to lose their grip on the trees here too.

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
