Beautiful pictures, Lesley, just gorgeous. I'm so wishing for a break right now . . . the way our terms work, it's impossible to get away from mid-August through mid-April at the earliest, and by this time of year I'm craving just four or five days. And days spent in this warmth and beauty, wow!
That light, those sharp-edged shadows. Memories evoked while the wind blows hard across the fields here.
Materfamilias: Yes, lovely to have a break now but somehow difficult to restart — the impetus has been lost.
Dick: The contrast between light and shade especially on the mountain slopes at this time of year is quite stunning. The air seems more limpid than in high summer.
