Singin' hey lolly, lolly

The title of this post will only mean anything to you if you are ancient enough to remember that Meri Wilson Classic "Telephone Man" and these fabulous lyrics:

I got it in the bedroom, and I got it in the hall
And I got it in the bathroom, and he hung it on the wall
I got it with a buzz, and I got it with a ring
And when he told me what my number was I got a ding-a-ling

All this to say that I got my wifi card yesterday and within five minutes I had internet in the kitchen, in the hall, in the bathroom, in the toilet, in the garden ........ You get the idea. I may be old enough to remember "Telephone Man" but hey, I'm so funky, I'm wireless. Woo mega Hoo.

Hee hee - your RSS feed didn't show the photo, nor all of the text in this entry. It cut off at a perfect point, in fact, and so for a minute I was left wondering... ;-)

Airport throughout the house, eh? That's wonderful! Go, you! :-)

Me too. Isn't it great ;-) Oh life without that invisible wifi vascular system coursing through my body (hmm) and pumping internet throughout my house is just too awful to contemplate. If I get cancer because of it twenty (even ten) years down the line it will still have been worth it.

PS do you know of a good kitchenware shop in Bordeaux?

Look forward to meeting up sometime soon.

David: Ah, the end must have been a bit of a disappontment then. Sorry!

Sarah: You do wonder just how good these wifi waves can be for you, don't you? I'll send you an e-mail about the kitchenware places.

Antipo: It never ceases to amaze me that I have so much junk rattling around in my brain including lyrics from thousands of songs from the seventies.

Deborah: I had a quick look on iTunes and they've never heard of Sophie Tucker either. Are you sure it wasn't Bessie Tucker?

Is this the right Sophie Tucker? It says she had a record called 'Some Of These Days'.

yes, that is the one

here are two quotes of hers and great excitement I found the song too at:

J'ai été riche et j'ai été pauvre... Croyez-moi, riche, c'est mieux ! »
[ Sophie Tucker ]

« De sa naissance à ses 18 ans, il faut qu'elle ait de bons parents. De 18 à 35 ans, il faut qu'elle ait un physique agréable. De 35 à 55 ans, il lui faut de la personnalité. A partir de 55 ans, il lui faut de l'argent. »

It was ace, I too am old enough to remember that song!

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
