Yes, very J-Lo sunnies! You my friend, are too cool for school!

On the subject of Botox, there is an ad at the moment for some sort of face cream where a bird named Nadine Baggot tries to flog the cream, telling us it smooths out wrinkles and is the answer to every woman's ageing problems. The problem with this is that she quite obviously has a forehead absolutely filled with botulism, so much so that she is incapable of expressing any emotion from the top lip upwards. How bloody insulting, to even imagine that your average woman wouldn't be able to see that! How I wish I could show the ad!

But anyway, rant over.

La star de la rue D?

Not long ago saw a woman I hadn't seen for some time and I couldn't figure out why her face looked sort of crooked. Someone told me later it was botox. But you don't need a plastic surgeon, just a dermatologist, and you have to go back regularly for another jab, what a bore.

Catherine Deneuve seems to be looking a bit lop-sided in a recent photo, why do they bother.

Ronnie: Does my nose look big in these?

Ms Mac : I'll look out for that one.

Deborah: In GB, you don't even have to be a dermatologist, just a beauty therapist. The mind boggles.

Well that last comment makes me laugh .... I think it is just the way you have framed the photo that makes the hooter look vaguely phallic ....
just move back a bit to prove that your nose is perfectly cute and then you can keep the glasses and not pass them on to button nosed ronnie .....

I started this post thinking about Bottox, and finish it toying with the idea of rhinoplasty. Thanks.

Author's intention.
You were expecting us to focus on the sunglasses?

Sometimes blogs are read .....

' .....Sometimes novels are read and understood in a fashion that directly contradicts the author's intention. Tolstoy intended Anna Karenina to be a sort of "she-devil" and his novel to be a cautionary tale about the destructiveness of passion. But we read the book as a tragic tale of love, ....
For Flaubert Emma Bovary's flaw is her banal imagination fed on cheap novels - she suffers from the disease of imagination - but few readers see her solely in that light......' quote Edmund White in TLS.

Illustrious company, Lesley!

Ronnie, I am a bit wary about turning this computer upsidedown ... I suppose I could stand on the table and look at the screen between my legs, a risky business. I'll just have to take your word for it.

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
