Atlantic coast

Just back from our holiday in the Landes: a region of endless sandy beaches and shady pine forests . Here is a photo of the Atlantic coast near Moliets.

The Atlantic coast looks a lot more appealing than the bassin d'Arcachon. Went on Sunday to a dinky village called l'Herbe where we ate outside, chez Magne, a place full of the 'in' crowd, service very slow and it was like being in Oxford Street the day of the sales. Vive Moliets!

Between age 14 (when I got my moped) and 18, I spent all my free time between May and September on a beach just like this one, a bit further down south (Seignosse)... *sigh*
