Deborah, I don't know why I bother really. One pot has already been broken by a 5-year-old on a bike and as soon as we go to Scotland, they'll all dry up and die.
I planted sunflower seeds and marigold seeds before we left for the US and watered them every day with Kepler's bath water and - of course - everything was blooming and rampant when we got back. 3 feet taller than when we had left. Everything except for a single painstakingly tended seedling.

Quite confusing really!
Glad you are planting now Lesley, my plants are looking rather tired after all this heat ....
Next Saturday, for those interested, I'll be giving a guided tour of the new Botanical Gardens, Bordeaux, 10 o'oclock in the morning.
