Six

Z is truly thrilled to be six today. He sang a little song to himself as we took Grandma to the airport this morning. It went like this
J'ai six ans, j'ai six ans, j'ai six ans, j'ai six ans....

So now it's time to say goodbye to the babyish farmyard pictures I decorated his bedroom cupboards with before he was even born, and it's hello garish football posters, Pokemon cards in every possible pocket and a growing collection of Star Wars tat littering the floor.

If the coming years go past as quickly as the first six, we'll soon be buying him a cap and a pipe.

Happy Birthday, Z! Although six is not a perfect number when it comes to toes or fingers it is just so much better than 47.

Happy Birthday kiddo!

Ha ha Lesley...with my two it's Pokemon Kraks - they're all over the place and I keep standsing on them..ouch! But their room is decorated with really babyish wallpaper - I must ask the landlord if I can take it off.

This set me off on lots of pleasant reveries ... I never read Winnie the Pooh books but remember the titles 'Now we are six' being one of them, which reminded me of The house at Pooh corner which reminded me of an Ealing film called The house at Sly Corner which I watched on tv in the fifties with my mother. and we watched another film called 'I married a witch', oddly by René Claire and the television at that time was upstairs in a room with red wallpaper, a flower design, and my bedroom at six years old had an idyllic countryside scene with rowing boat, trees and lake, replicated many times, but I had to move out of that room the following year to make way for a baby sister, and on and on and on ...

How to have fun summing up divisors ... found that neat title thanks to you beefking.

Z - May the force be with you.

Deborah - Decaf perhaps?

Neil, you'll be telling me next to take the alcohol out of my evening tipple ( a sturdy Bordeaux or Entre deux mers ), je veux bien but then I wouldn't be able to make all these interesting comments!

Confinement

Being confined indoors most of the day, just the four of us, is reminding me of the days when my children were wee and most of our weekends ...
